TabTrade Broker Review - A Look at This New CFD Broker
Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.
The Software
Available: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Many pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you know MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural once they try it.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would round things out when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Usual deposit match. You deposit, TabTrade credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
