TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

Tab Trade - The Short Version

TabTrade.com launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail is relevant. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.

Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, that coverage is broad.

Platforms

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.

FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it lands.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. TabTrade has no minimum.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals what kind of broker this is.

Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Here is the part that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform how you think about it.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense is your call.

The Bonus

Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, they credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before funding.
