TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

Tab Trade — What It Is

TabTrade.com went live in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.

That last detail tells you something. It means the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform this new, that range is broad.

The Software

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.

FIX API is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That will be a good addition when it lands.

Accounts and Pricing

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits beginners.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not something most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

Infrastructure

The execution is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers operate at hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package is strong. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

This is the part that requires honesty. Tab Trade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If that makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should be part of your decision.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it is your call.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade has bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You deposit, they top up your balance. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before you commit.
